FAQ

First off, let me welcome you to the Classically Own3d FAQ.  This section will be used to explain who I am, what the hell I am doing, and other questions that I am constantly getting asked.  Of course, this will not stop people from asking them, but now I can just shoot them a link to this page like an ass.  Okay, I think that is enough exposition, so lets get on with it.

Who the hell are you?

I am just a regular guy.  I'm a full time student.  I have a wonderful wife and daughter.  I like to play video games, both old and new.  That about sums it up.

What is the point of this?

I had stated long ago that I would play and defeat every Super Nintendo game.  This was years ago, and I think I beat 6 or so games before forgetting about it.  A few months ago, a friend of mine had reminded me of my earlier boast.  I'm not a big fan of giving up, so I've decided to restart my nostalgic journey.  Classically Own3d is basically my way of documenting my sanity as it slowly decreases with every game.  I figure by the time I get half way through, I will be completely bat-shit insane.

What does Classically Trained Nub even mean?

I needed a "name" to go by.  Yep.  No long back story here.  There is a "Classically Trained" T-shirt with a Nintendo on it, but I just saw that while Google searching for awesome back story ideas.  Needless to say, Google has failed me again.  Anyway, you can call me Classy if you would like.

What system is this game for?

Super Nintendo.  The answer will always be Super Nintendo.

Will you ever play games for any other systems?

Maybe in the future, after I complete every Super Nintendo game...but even if I play and beat a game every day, that is still a couple of years away.  If you are reading this in the future, and I am currently reviewing a Sega Genesis game, please disregard the previous question.  The answer is now Genesis.

You should play (random game here)!

No, you should play that.  I'm doing this alphabetically, except when I don't.  If it is a Super Nintendo game, I will get to it eventually.  I might add a poll or some other way for you guys to decide what game I'm playing next, but for now, my list is pretty much set.

Hey!  You skipped (random moonspeak title here)!

Sorry, I am not fluent in moonspeak.  I am only doing games in English as of right now.  I might throw in some translated games every once in a while, but I try to stick to the list as much as possible.

I don't agree with your rating\HOW DARE YOU BASH MY FAVORITE GAME!!1!1!!

And?  I state my opinions and nothing more.  The best thing you can do in this scenario is to make a page long comment on the post listing every problem you have with my review.  It will do fuck all to change my mind, but that shit is hilarious to read.

What the fuck kind of rating system are you using?

It's a simple one out of five scale, now with halfs.  Instead of stars or thumbs, I use a sprite from the game.  However, as it has been pointed out to me, not all sprites are created equal.  For example, one Bat-Signal is worth more than three falling Barbies.  I have no fucking clue how to factor any of that into an actual score, but it sounds good, so I'm running with it.

Is there a list that shows the games you have beaten\what game is next?

There is now.  You can find it by clicking on the "List" above, or by clicking HERE if you are too fucking lazy to scroll up.

Is there any way that I can contact you?

Yup.  Leaving a comment will probably be the fastest, as I am instantly notified on those.  However, if it's important or just something you would prefer to remain private (like pictures of boobies) you can shoot me an e-mail.  Classy@classicallyown3d.com
