Fuck yeah! A "game" that I can use my mouse from Mario Paint with! I knew that wasn't a complete waste of money. Now if I could just find some more games to use my Super Scope 6 with, I'll be set.
So what is ACME Animation Factory? Well, it's a Mario Paint knockoff that is set in the Looney Tunes world. What's Mario Paint? Mario Paint was the Adobe Flash of Super Nintendo. It came with a 2 button mouse peripheral and a solid mouse pad that you could use to draw and animate your work, make music, play a mini game, or just paint an assortment of pictures. The same is true for this game as well, minus the peripherals.
Think your mouse pad is cool? Mine can stop a bullet. |
Controls are awesome as long as you are using the mouse. Otherwise, this game would be horrendous to play. Point and click, pretty simple stuff. The only downside that I have found is while drawing. The mouse pointer becomes a pencil, but the part that actually draws is an x that appears up and to the right of the pencil. Not a big deal, but it does interfere with my artistic talent.
The constant sound looping is death on the ears. Imagine an annoying polka song being looped for ever. Now, imagine that same song being played in midi format. The only escape from this is the music maker part, in which you can make your own song to jam out to. I tried to create the ACME rendition of Dragonforce - Through the Fire and Flames, but I guess I'm not metal enough. If you want to see the Mario Paint version, check it out HERE. Haha...sorry, I couldn't resist. The real Mario Paint version is Here. That guy is insane.
If I was to judge this game graphically, it would be based on my own ability to draw. Therefore, this game is graphically superior to every game...ever. However, if we look at the graphics presented within the game, it still ranks pretty high. From the sprite animations to the coloring book pages, everything is top notch.
Choke on this, Photoshop. |
Overall, this is not a game, and thus it is hard to rate. If you're interested in this type of stuff, stick with Mario Paint. It's better in ever aspect. Therefore, I'm giving this game 2 bongo playing Tazs out of 5.
Since there is no real end to this, here's a shot of a perfect round of the Memory Game. |

Thanks for the review sir. Keep it up.
haha, nice
@Copyboy - I appreciate the support man.
@ everyone else - I'm glad you all enjoy my art. I had all of you in mind :P
only 2 bongo playing taz?
@ilikeicecream - the reason it only gets 2 bongos is because this game requires you to purchase Mario Paint for the peripherals. The game itself looks great, but it is still just a sprite change from Mario to Bugs Bunny. If a company is going to make me buy another game just in order to play their game, they better not be the exact same game.
sounds like a good game for a stoner party...
Used to love these
Thanks for the comment, mate ;)I've a few different saga's going, the rest are how-to's and such. I love what you've got here mate, lmao, I've been wondering what I can use my effing snes mouse for. Still... Nothing trumps a power glove.
